Why do some of the products I buy from Nova Lighting come in plain packaging?

Nova Lighting purchases many products in large bulk quantities for commercial use. We also purchase from a variety of vendors, some from oversease. A large portion of the higher cost for retail packaged products is due to the colors and marketing design on the packaging. By eliminating these Nova Lighting can sell you the highest quality lamps at the lowest possible prices.

Why should I use a brass base as opposed to an Aluminum base on my incandescent bulbs?

Most light sockets are Aluminum. In conditions such as high humidity or outside weather exposed applications, Aluminum sockets with Aluminum based bulbs tend to fuse together (throught a process called oxididation). Brass based bulbs significantly reduce the oxidation process.
