should I do?

Why should I use a brass base as opposed to an Aluminum base
on my incandescent bulbs?
Most light sockets are Aluminum. In conditions such as high humidity
or outside weather exposed applications, Aluminum sockets with
Aluminum based bulbs tend to fuse together (throught a process
called oxididation). Brass based bulbs significantly reduce the
oxidation process.
